Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that the opposition can willingly take out its long march as it lacks vigor while rubbishing any idea of imposition of presidential system or emergency in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The minister was addressing a presser in Islamabad on Wednesday. He categorically stated that neither the presidential system, emergency, leniency, sit-in nor any no-confidence motion is coming forth.

On the long march of Pakistan Democratic Movement on 23rd of March, Sh Rashid said in a light vein who would prefer to watch opposition leaders’ faces instead of watching J-10 aircraft.

“We will see how much strength the opposition does have during its marches on Feb 27 and March 23,” he bellowed.

While talking about Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s long march, the interior minister also mentioned the meeting in which the opposition had decided to stop late Benazir Bhutto from coming back.

He mocked PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif who fled the country on fake medical reports only to avoid accountability.

“Nawaz is staying in the UK on fake reports. He is an unlucky man who wants to stay abroad on false reports,” he added.

On government’s talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) reportedly facilitated by the Afghan Taliban, the interior minister declared that demands of the TTP were unacceptable.

Sh Rashid said that he was very happy with his present ministry and he was not informed about any change in his ministerial portfolio.
