Despite the passage of three days, Guddu Power Plant’s management is yet to fix the technical fault in the 500 KV high transmission line that had led to a fire yesterday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
On the other hand, the plant’s management has refused to comment on the issue.
Sources in the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) Limited have told 24News that it might take 14 days to buy a new breaker.
They have added that four high transmission lines are connected to the plant.
They have said that the fault has led to an increase in the electricity shortfall. Consequently, the duration of loadshedding in Muzzafargarh and other parts of the country has increased, they told the channel.
The fire had erupted in the plant following development of a fault in the high transmission line’s switch yard due to fog.
