As the crime rate continued to rise across Pakistan, the law-enforcers seem oblivious to the situation on the ground and were rather busy in settling their issues through violent acts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In one such incident, DIG Faisal Kamran on Monday suspended two police officers for a violent fight inside a police station in Lahore.

Two assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), Tariq and Shahbaz, came to blows inside Ravi Road Police Station over a monetary dispute. Tariq hit Shahbaz with an iron guard.

The SHO has arrested ASI Tariq for attacking Shahbaz first.

The police also registered a case on behalf of SHO Faryad Ashraf yesterday.

Following DIG’s directive, DSP Shafiqabad is holding an inquiry into the incident.

In the second such incident, two cops came to blows at a petrol pump in Saeedabad area of Baldia Town in Karachi on Monday.

According to police officials, one cop was injured after a bullet fired by the other hit him at his hand.

The bickering cops were deployed in Madadgar Unit 1. The fight broke out when the police patrol vehicle stopped at the filling station.

The injured policeman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The police officials said they were investigating the incident and action will be taken as per law.
