Meghan Markle has reportedly been invited to the star-studded Met Gala along with Vogue editor Edward Enninful, according to the sources.
The Daily Mail said that the former royal on March 4 would adopt a ‘glamour androgynous’ look for the event.
It is expected to be the first Hollywood appearance of the mother-of-one after formally stepping back on March 31 from her royal duties.
They added: 'The Met Gala is for the Who’s Who of show business. Naturally, Meghan was one of the first names on the guest list, and Edward’s team are excited that the two will go together.
'Meghan is keen to step out occasionally without Harry so that she can establish herself once more in Hollywood.'
The celebrity-filled event has played host to many of the mother-of-one's Hollywood pals in the past, including Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé.
News of Meghan's apparent invite comes a month after she and husband Prince Harry announced they were quitting the royal family.
The royal couple intends to live in North America to pursue lucrative commercial careers and will officially quit as senior working royals on March 31. They are currently living in a £10million mansion on Vancouver Island.
