Torkham, Chaman borders to remain open for 5 days

Pakistan has decided to keep the border points with Afghanistan opened for five days to boost trade activities.

Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui on Saturday said that Torkham border and Chaman border with Afghanistan would be opened for five days a week for bilateral and transit trade.

Aisha Farooqui said, “Daily 100 trucks would be allowed to cross the border from Pakistan to Afghanistan carrying trade goods.”

Earlier Pakistan closed its western borders to stem the spread of coronavirus but later allowed opening of borders for two days.
