Man kills ex-wife who spurned his reconciliation offer in Lahore

A man on Wednesday murdered his ex-wife with the help of a sharp-edged weapon on Walton Road in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, accused Zafar Iqbal attacked his former wife Zaibun Nisa (45) with a sharp-edged weapon, injuring her seriously.
The woman was shifted to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
Police collected evidence from the crime scene. They shifted the body of the slain woman to the city morgue.
According to police, the accused divorced Zaibun Nisa a short while ago. But he had been exerting pressure on her for reconciliation after their separation.
Man killed for resisting dacoity
Separately, a man was killed on offering resistance during a dacoity incident in his house in DHA Phase 1 in Lahore.
Reportedly, Ali Raza was sleeping in the upper storey when some dacoits broke into his house. Hearing noise, he came downstairs and offered resistance. The outlaws shot at him and a bullet hit his leg.
Bleeding profusely, Ali Raza managed to reach the National Hospital on his own. But due to blood loss, he could not survive and died in the hospital.
Police reached the venue and started investigation.
Lahore CCPO took notice of the incident and sought report from the SP Cantt.
He asked police to arrest the culprits with the help of CCTV cameras and other evidence.
The SP Cantt said that police teams were formed to nab the accused.
