The idea of turning their old family boat into a comfy place for customers to relax and enjoy a hot cup of coffee struck two residents of Gwadar who launched their business venture as part of Cafe Tourism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Their venture was also a part of tourism strategy for the port city under the Gwadar Smart City Master plan.
The most interesting thing is that Fahad Ishaq and Qadeer renovated their old family boat and converted it into a café for this purpose. The boat is officially named 'Padizar Cafe' and people from all over the country are arriving in Gwadar to see this café.
"Padizar Cafe" has the capacity to host at least 150 tourists with coffee, tea, snacks, fish and local cuisine.
The three-storeyed cafe consists of three terraces and the cost of modernizing the boat with renovations was about Rs15 million.
Gwadar would have hangout tourism, resort tourism, cultural tourism, festival tourism, eco-tourism, and many other types of tourism under the new proposed tourism strategy.
On the other side, the "Special Tourist Police Department" was also established by the Balochistan government as part of the Gwadar Safe City Project.
Around 20 police personnel are planned to be posted at picnic spots in the district for the convenience and guidance of local and foreign tourists.
In order to safeguard tourists in any circumstance, the provincial government has provided vehicles and weapons for the tourist police.
