Pakistan reports only 330 new coronavirus cases with 8 deaths

Pakistan continues its journey towards a potential victory in the fight against coronavirus pandemic as the country reports only 330 new cases Monday in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.
The total coronavirus cases now stand at 280, 029 with 296 more people recovered from the coronavirus during the last 24 hours. This has taken the total number of recovered people to 248,873. According to the portal, the number of critical patients stands at 1,038. There are only 25,172 active cases in the country. It means 88.9% patient who contracted coronavirus have fully recovered so far.
The country also recorded only 8 fatalities over the last 24 hours, taking the overall death tally to 5984. The death ratio in the country stands at 2.1%.
Punjab has recorded only 24 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours, according to the government's Covid-19 portal, taking the provincial tally to 93,197 with 8486 active cases. The province also recorded 4 new deaths as death toll stands at 2,148. With 11 new recoveries, 82,563 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Sindh has recorded 177 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 121,486 with 8256 active cases. The province also recorded just one new death, taking the death toll to 2,224. With 184 new recoveries, 111,006 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 63 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 34,223 with 4006 active cases. The province also reported two new deaths, taking the death toll to 1,202. With 37 new recoveries, 29,015 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded 12 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 11, 774 with 1449 active cases. It was the eleventh consecutive day that the province has not reported any death, as death toll remains at 136. With 53 new recoveries, 10,189 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 24 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 15,076 with 2,233 active cases. I was the sixth consecutive day that no death was reported in the Federal Capital as virus death toll remains at 165. With 89 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients remains at 12,678 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded seven new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,093 with 396 active cases. With no new death reported for the third consecutive day, the death toll remains at 54. AJK also reported one new recovery, as 1,643 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit Baltistan has recorded 23 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 2180 with 346 active cases. With one new death reported, the death toll reaches at 558. With 21 new recoveries, 1,779 patients have recovered from the virus so far.
The number of tests administered across the country has now increased to 2,021,196 as 11,026 new tests were conducted on Sunday.
