3 SHOs dismissed in Karachi on corruption charges

The higher police authorities in District West Karachi on Tuesday dismissed three Station House Officers (SHOs) on the charges of corruption and criminal negligence during the performance of their duties, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The SHOs who were dismissed were appointed in New Karachi Central, Surjani Town and Rizvia Society police stations.
The dismissed SHOs included Sub-Inspector Younas Khattak, Sub-Inspector Rashid and Sub-Inspector Farrukh Shehryar.
New Karachi Central SHO Younas Khattak was dismissed due to his involvement in corruption. Rizvia police station SHO SI Rashid was removed from his job for showing dereliction while dealing with the drug traffickers.
While Surjani police station SHO was dismissed on the charges of corruption.
According to sources, police inquiries are being carried out against DSPs, SHOs and other officers in the District West.
The higher authorities in police said that no leniency would be shown towards policemen involved in corruption and wrongdoing.
