Chinses investors have reached Sindh High Court constitutional bench seeking help against mistreatment from the hands of Sindh police, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. Six Chinses investors moved SHC through their counsel Mehsud Advocate demanded justice and protection from the harassment and extortion by Sindh police. Sindh High Court has sought reply from concerned departments within four weeks. 

The Chinses investors told the court to provide them safety otherwise they will shift to Lahore or move back to China. 

Federal Interior Ministry, Chief Secretary Sindh, IG, Home Secretary Sindh and Head of Special Unit of CPEC Security have been made parties in the petition. Malir police officials, Chinese embassy and others have also been made parties in the petition. 

The Chinses investors contended that they came here to make investment in Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Army Chief. 

The told the court that bribe is demanded during their movement from airport to their residence. Moreover, at airport, the investors are compelled to wait for hours in the name of bulletproof vehicles. 

The applicant contended that their residences are also cordoned off in the name of security and their residences were locked put outside. The Chinese claimed that they were deprived of the right to free movement and cannot hold business meetings. 

The counsel told the court that after payment of Rs50,000 as bribe they are allowed to move and meet others. 

The applicant contended that three Chinses women investors had gone back to China after they were insulted at Expo centre in Karachi. He said seven factories of Chinses investors have been sealed in Sukkah Police Station. The urged the SHC to provide them right as per international law.
