German citizen beaten up, robbed in Lahore

In a tragic incident, a German national was beaten up by armed men and robbed of his valuables in Lahore, the city known for its hospitality, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the northern cantonment where 27-year-old Berg Florain was camping in a park when some armed men came and started beating him up.
Narrating his ordeal to the police, Berg said that the dacoits looted an expensive cellphone, cash and a camera worth Rs500,000 from him and fled.
On the other hand, eyewitnesses said that the foreigner, who had almost lost consciousness, went to the Rangers’ office on a bicycle and fell down.
They said they rushed Burg to a Rangers’ hospital where he was provided treatment.
The eyewitnesses further said that later they took him to a police station where an FIR was registered on his complaint.
On the other hand, the SP Cantonment has said that investigations were underway and soon the culprits would be in the police’s custody.
