First PML-N parliamentary board meeting concludes

Former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Saturday after the first meeting of the party parliamentary board said that Daniyal Aziz has been given a show-cause notice in light of violating the party discipline, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Rana Sanaullah addressed the media after the parliamentary board meeting held at the party secretariat in Model Town. He said that all the candidates of the Sargodha division were gathered and up to 80% of the candidates have been agreed upon. A committee will be formed to resolve any issues.
The board meeting presided by the Founder Nawaz Sharif and the President Shehbaz Sharif lasted for seven hours.
In the meeting, 105 candidates shortlisted by the sub-parliamentary party formed for all four districts of Sargodha division were called. The party ticket aspirants from 34 total constituencies of the national and provincial assemblies were interviewed. A total of 38 candidates were interviewed for 11 seats in the National Assembly while 67 candidates gave interviews for a total of 23 seats in the Provincial Assembly.
According to the sources, the likely candidates for Sargodha division are expected to be announced soon.
The second parliamentary board meeting will be held tomorrow and the shortlisted candidates from the Rawalpindi division will be interviewed.
Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Chairman Election Cell Senator Ishaq Dar, PML-N General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal, Provincial President Rana Sanaullah and Divisional Coordinator Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary also participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, Daniyal Aziz was given a show cause notice during the parliamentary board meeting over his tussle with Ahsan Iqbal.
The notice stated that the PML-N constitution requires that every member abide by the party discipline. The statement he gave on November 30 was contrary to facts and a violation of the party discipline and policy. It was stated that he has tried to damage the party's reputation by the irresponsible statements he made.
The show-cause notice served to Daniyal demanded that he abide by the party discipline and refrain from such statements. It also demanded an answer to the notices given to the party leadership either in person or in writing within seven days.
