In a remarkable demonstration of diplomatic commitment, the Foreign Ministry of China, under the leadership of Foreign Minister Wang Yi, has actively engaged in targeted aid programs since 1992 to alleviate poverty in Jinping County, Yunnan Province. This profound initiative embodies the spirit of "following the grand path and serving the public good" in diplomatic aid.
The last visit of journalists to Yunnan Province was truly remarkable, with representatives from 20 countries accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the China International Press Communication Center. Notably, the "Boundless Love" international charity sale, initiated by the Foreign Minister, raised over 22.52 million yuan for crucial projects, including school buildings, sports fields, village clinics, and water facilities.
Crafting pillars of industry support, the "Road to Riches" was laid out by innovating the development support model. The creation of the "Diplomatic Poverty Alleviation Industry Support Fund" with a substantial investment of 16.5838 million yuan supported 16 cooperatives, benefiting over 10,000 residents. Sales channels were enhanced through creative methods, including train-based advertisements and utilizing technology platforms, boosting local agricultural product brand influence.
Strategic alliances and partnerships played a crucial role in charting the "Course for Success." Facilitated by the Foreign Ministry, Jinping transformed into Yunnan's first "Longevity Town," exploring longevity industry development. The State Council's decision to upgrade the Jingshui River Port from a bilateral to an international port further advanced opening-up efforts, enhancing economic prospects.
Fostering rural rejuvenation with intellect, a "Path of Wisdom" was carved out by the Foreign Ministry. Twenty representatives were sent to serve as county party secretaries and deputy county mayors, contributing to development and implementation.
