The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) announced on Tuesday that passengers should undergo fresh Covid-19 tests as British National Health Service’s certificate won’t be accepted.
According to a spokesperson for the national airline, the private test has been made mandatory for travel in PIA flights. The Civil Aviation Authority has already extended travel restrictions on category-C countries and the UK is among them.
According to the aviation authority, the international travellers from the countries placed in category-A did not require Covid-19 PCR test before entry into Pakistan and the travellers from Category-B countries are required to undergo coronavirus test before commencement of travel to Pakistan.
The travellers from C-category countries are restricted and only allowed as per the guidelines.
