Man gets death for raping, electrocuting minor boy

A sessions court in Lahore on Thursday handed down the death penalty to a man who electrocuted a two-and-a-half-year-old boy after raping him in the Hanjarwal area of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional Sessions Judge Shabraiz Akhtar Raja, while pronouncing the decision, also imposed fines totaling Rs0.45 million under different sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on Nadeem Aslam. 

Aslam was sentenced to seven years in jail and fined Rs50, 000 under the section related to kidnapping.

Similarly, the court handed down life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs50, 000 on the pedophile for sodomizing the child, and death sentence for killing him besides a fine of Rs0.3 million.  

On hearing the court’s verdict, Aslam broke down into tears and begged mercy from the judges.
