Larkana feudal lord tortures ‘disloyal’ voter

July 3, 2022 11:54 AM

A feudal lord allegedly subjected a man to severe torture and kidnapped him for not casting his vote in the landlord’s favour in the recently-held local government polls in Larkana, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to details, some men allegedly at the behest of a feudal lord entered the house of a young man Nawab Penhor. They beat him up and then whisked him away.

After the attackers left with Nawab, the relatives of poor young man protested against his torture and kidnapping. They staged a sit-in at Arija near Mohenjo-Daro Airport Road and blocked it completely.

According to the relatives, Mehmood Bhagio, son of Sarfraz Bhagio who belongs to the GDA party, tortured Nawab and then took him away as a punishment for casting his vote in favour of a PPP candidate instead of the GDA candidate.

The protesters demanded of the authorities to immediately release Nawab and take action against the local feudal lord.
