PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb Tuesday came down hard on NAB for what she called targeting ex-Punjab CM to divert public attention from the failure of PM Imran Khan-led government to cope with coronavirus challenge.

She said the accountability chief should arrest the PM and Punjab CM Usman Buzdar for sugar scam.

She said use of force by the rulers against the PML-N worker exposed the PTI failure to deliver.

"If Shehbaz Sharif is arrested, the people of Pakistan will arrest Imran Khan ", she said.

She said Shehbaz Sharif filed a petition in the high court against NAB that would be take up on Wednesday and NAB was informed through a letter. The bureau barged into the party office without warrants and started torching workers, including women.

She alleged the ruling party wanted the opposition leader out of budget session as it planned a anti-poor budget

Shehbaz is being persecuted for no reason, she said, adding that the ex-CM was detained for 30 days.
