44 more diagnosed with dengue in Islamabad

There is no letup in cases of dengue in Islamabad as 44 more cases of the virus were reported from the city and its outskirts during the last 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

According to the district health officer (DHO), out of these 44 cases, 35 were reported from the villages surrounding the federal capital while nine were from the city itself. 

He said that so far 2,552 cases of the disease had been detected this season. 

The DHO elaborated that out of these 2, 552 cases, 1,513 were reported from the rural areas of Islamabad while 1039 from the city. “So far six people have died from the virus this year,” he informed.
