Govt trying to ensure transparency in distributing flood aid: Sharjeel

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon Saturday said a ravaging flood is passing through the province that has already claimed 559 lives and injured more than 21,000 people, reported 24 News HD TV Channel on Saturday.

He said 1400,941 houses have been affected in the province while the cotton crop has been completely destroyed by the floods.

The minister said that the Sindh government is trying to ensure that the distribution of aid continues in a transparent manner.

“People are in trouble and one person is still holding rallies and hurling threats. On the other hand, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is making history while representing the flood survivors at the global level,” he rued.
