PAF JF-17 jets to demonstrate prowess in “Bright Star” air exercise in Egypt

The international air exercise "Bright Star 2023" has started at Mohammad Najeeb Military Base in Egypt which is known as an important international exercise, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Pakistan Air Force's JF-17 Thunder jets are participating in the international air exercise.
According to a spokesperson of the Pakistan Air Force, skilled air and ground personnel in the Pakistan Air Force will showcase their exceptional capabilities.
Exercise Bright Star began as a bilateral training program between the United States and Egypt as a result of the 1977 Camp David Agreement. After 1995, various countries across the world were invited to participate in this exercise.
Bright Star is one of the largest and most complex joint air exercises ever conducted globally, says PAF Spokesperson.
PAF Spokesperson said the aim of the exercise is to promote mutual cooperation between the participating countries as well as provide excellent opportunities for joint training.
He said the exercise was designed to simulate a realistic air combat situation.
Air exercise Bright Star will provide the air forces of the participating countries with an opportunity to test their real operational readiness and it will continue for two weeks.
During the exercise, the participating countries will participate with their air, naval and land assets in the desert region of Cairo, north-west of Egypt.
A total of 34 countries including Pakistan, USA, India, Saudi Arabia, Greece and Qatar will participate in the exercises this year.
In the context of the complex security environment and strategic challenges of today, Bright Star 2023 will prove to be helpful in promoting the cooperation of the Pakistan Air Force with friendly countries.
The exercise will provide an opportunity to strengthen military-to-military relations as well as test the coordinated use of war and war-supporting resources.
The exercise will provide an opportunity to formulate as well as validate a comprehensive strategy against contemporary threats.
Air exercise Bright Star will ensure preparedness for any future emergency.
Pakistan Air Force is determined to play its full role in the success of this exercise.
