Tennis stars Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina announce their engagement

One of tennis’ famous and adorable couple is now officially engaged. WTA World No.5 Elina Svitolina and French star Gael Monfils announced their engagement. The couple, also referred to as G.E.M.S have been dating for a long time and now have made it official.
As the two are vacationing together, Monfils and Svitolina took to their respective social media handles to announce the much-anticipated news. Fans of both the players adore their relationship. Flaunting a big diamond ring, Svitolina seemed overjoyed with Monfils proposal.

Reading through their captions, the hashtags are giving a hint of when the wedding could be. Both the players have used July 2021 in the hashtag and also used Roman numerals to indicate the date. So it seems the marriage would take place on July 18, 2021.
Svitolina and Monfils have been together since 2019. All was apparently smooth sailing until the Australian Open 2021. Fans were shocked when Svitolina and Monfils had put a break to their relationship after the Aussie Open. Fans were hoping for them to reunite but it happened slowly.

Out of the blue, Monfils was seen commenting on various Instagram posts of Svitolina recently. These actions from the French player started the murmurs of their reunification. And now, a few days back, both the players officially updated fans on their relationship. They were officially back together, but with no hint of an engagement. But then again, out of the blue, they both stunned everybody with the engagement news.
The famous couple recently again started posting on their favoured G.E.M.S life joint Instagram account. Many other tennis stars such as Caroline Wozniacki and Alex De Minaur congratulated Svitolina and Monfils on social media.
