Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called the federal cabinet meeting today (Tuesday) at 1 pm at Parliament House.

The Supreme Court decision and other legal matters will be discussed in the meeting.

Key decisions are expected.  The federal cabinet yesterday decided to withdraw the services of the Supreme Court Registrar Ishrat Ali and directed him to report to the Establishment Division.

The decision was made during a special meeting held with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the chair.

The cabinet deliberated upon two-point agenda. Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Attorney General briefed the Cabinet.

The cabinet considered the issue of the circular issued by the Registrar Supreme Court against the top court order.

It demanded President Dr Arif Alvi sign the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act 2023.
