Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur visited Rashkai Special Economic Zone and held meeting with a delegation of Chinese experts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


KP Chief Minister visited various industrial units established in Rashkai Special Economic Zone. The CM was also briefed by the concerned authorities about the industrial units.


During meeting with Chinses delegation, various matters of mutual interest were discussed in details during the meeting.


Gandapur said also held discussion on issues related to promoting Chinese investment and mutual cooperation in various sectors.


KP Chief Minister told the Chinses that the provincial government wanted to promote foreign investment in various sectors. He claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has immense opportunities for foreign investment in agriculture, industry, tourism and hydropower sectors. The provincial government itself is investing heavily in these sectors, said Chief Minister.


Gandapur said the creation of job opportunities for people in the province and increasing the income of the province was the key priorities of the provincial government, adding that for this purpose, steps were being taken under an integrated action plan.


He said the provincial government will also hail Chinese investment in various sectors. The provincial government will not only encourage foreign investment but will also provide all possible facilities to the local investors as well, Ali Amin Gandapur.


Concrete steps are being taken under the Ease of Doing Business Policy to provide facilities to investors in the province, Chief Minister said. Steps are being taken to supply electricity to local industries at cheap rates for the promotion of the industrial sector, Ali Amin Gandapur.


In this regard, work was being done to increase the power production of the provincial government, Chief Minister as the Provincial Government's own Grid and Transmission Company has been set up to provide cheap electricity to local industries, the Chief Minister said.


Gandapur claimed that the provincial government will fully encourage foreign investment to lay its power transmission line. On the occasion, CM assured that the security of foreign investors working in the province will be ensured in all cost.


On the occasion, the Chinese delegation said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has many opportunities for investment in agriculture, water resources and industrial sectors. More delegations will visit the province to explore investment opportunities in the province, Chinese experts said.


Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industries, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary P&D, Department of Industries, and officials of the Federal Board of Investment and Trade were also present in the meeting.
