Islamabad IGP seeks VCs’ support in curbing drug abuse at varsities

The Islamabad IG Police has written a letter to the vice chancellors of all universities located in the federal capital seeking their cooperation and support in curbing the use of drugs on campuses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The IG Police urged the universities’ heads to inform police if they observe any illegal activity being performed on the premises of universities. He said that police and university administration will have to work jointly to eliminate the use of drugs and other crimes.

He also said that he had written two letters in the past and this third one is a reminder. 

On the other hand, the IG police also directed the SHOs of six police stations to take effective action against the use of drugs.
