Pakistan's Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Gohar Ijaz on Sunday held a crucial meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Minister of Trade Omar Bolat in a bid to fortify economic relations and explore untapped trade opportunities, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a diplomatic mission to Turkey, Dr. Gohar Ijaz is scheduled to hold various meetings with Turkish officials and the business community to boost two-way trade and enhance investment prospects between the two nations.
Pakistan and Turkey, recognizing the vast potential for collaboration in trade, are actively working towards strengthening economic ties.
During the meeting with his counterpart, caretaker federal minister Gohar Ijaz highlighted the substantial trade opportunities existing between the two countries.
Moreover, Gohar Ijaz emphasized that Pakistan is open to foreign investment, especially in the realm of non-native capital.
“Underlining this commitment, an operation under the International Monetary Fund's guidance, known as the "One Window Operation," has been initiated,” he hinted.
He continued that this initiative aimed to facilitate and streamline the entry of foreign investors into Pakistan, fostering a more conducive environment for international capital.
