Sindh govt to open 3,000 primary schools in province

Sindh government has decided to open 3,000 primary schools in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Initially, schools will be opened in five districts of Sindh including Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Kashmore and Jacobabad.
Schools will be opened under the Non-Formal Literacy Education Project and will be run with the help of NGOs.
A contract will be signed between the School Education Department and the NGOs that want to run schools. The school building, books and dresses will be provided by the NGOs.
However, the School Education Department will provide financial assistance to the NGOs.
In this regard, Selection Committee meeting convened on December 9 which will be held at the office of the Director of Non-Formal Literacy Education at 3:30 PM.
The meeting will be chaired by the Chairman of the Selection Committee, Chief Education Development and Planning Sarfaraz.
Deputy Secretaries Muhammad Azeem and Ashraf Hussain Ansari will attend the meeting.
In the meeting, planning will be made regarding the opening of schools.
