ECP trains nearly 15 million election staff for upcoming polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the completion of the training of about 14.9 million election staff for the general elections, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Saturday.
The training exercises aimed to equip the election staff with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties professionally during the polls.
According to the ECP spokesperson, a total of 27,676 training sessions were organized for 87 days across the country, in which 3821 Master Trainers participated. The training process started on 19th November 2023 and ended today.
The training seats included 144 District Returning Officers, 859 Returning Officers, 191,526 presiding officers and senior assistant presiding officers, 785,060 Assistant Presiding Officers and Polling Officers, 32 Regional Monitoring Coordinators, 1,336 District Monitoring Officers, and around 5,000 officers and Data Entry Operators (DEOs) to operate the Election Management System (EMS).
The Commission also prepared 1400 master trainers for security during elections, who imparted election-related security training to 503,495 security personnel.
The ECP spokesperson said that the Commission was committed to ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
