Social Media Tower aimed at curbing fake news, disinformation: CM Naqvi

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi opens Social Media Tower at Directorate General of Public Relations, Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
On the occasion, the CM expressed pleasure that DGPR was shifting on digital media as per the requirements of the day. He said latest facilities will be available for social media experts. The tower will be built in a short period of three months at a cost of 15 crore rupees.
He directed the early completion of the building of Social Media Tower. He urged the DGPR officials to combat disinformation and fake news. He hoped that after the completion of the tower, government social media team will be able to combat fake news and disinformation.
Earlier, the CM visited various sections of DGPR office. On the occasion, CM Naqvi urged DGP officers to present the true image of the government to the public in an effective way.
The CM Naqvi was also briefed about the various projects. Provincial Information Minister Amir Mir, Secretary Information Danyal Gilani, DGPR Rubina Afzal, DC Lahore M Ali Randhawa and others were present on the occasion.
