Pak Embassy in Washington closes from Jan 4-6 amid corona fears

The Pakistan Embassy in Washington D.C has been closed from January 4-6 amid possible coronavirus exposure fears in the embassy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued, Pakistan Embassy in Washington D.C said: “There has been possible Covid-19 exposure in the Embassy. Out of abundance of caution, we are closing the Embassy including the consular section for three days 4-6 January 2021.”

The Embassy said, in the meantime, we will carry out decontamination of the premises and testing of the staff. While, the consular services will remain suspended during this period.

The online facilities for visa and passport renewal and mail-in visa services will remain available as usual, the Pakistan Embassy in Washington D.C announced.
