Farah Gogi case: Ex-FIEDMC CEO, SEZ secretary remanded in police custody

The former acting chief executive officer of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) committee secretary involved in the illegal allotment of two industrial plots measuring 10 acres in Faisalabad to a company owned by Farah Gogi, were presented before a magistrate court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Magistrate Aurangzeb granted a two-day remand of the accused.
The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Friday booked Farah Gogi, a close friend of ex-first lady Bushra Bibi, and her mother, and arrested former acting CEO of FIEDMC Rana Muhammad Yousaf and SEZ committee secretary Maqsood Ahmed in a case of selling two industrial plots whose market value was Rs600 million for only Rs83 million.
According to the first information report, a probe was initiated into the allegations of illegal allotment of plots to M/s AI-Muez Dairy & Foods (Pvt) Limited (a company owned by Farah and her mother) with the connivance of FIEDMC officials.
Sources said that the company which wanted to acquire the industrial plots, should have a value of Rs2 billion.
Farah’s husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar has been accused of giving a fake guarantee of Rs2 billion.
Sources further said that the ACE’s 3-member joint investigation team has launched a probe into Farah and her husband’s assets.
