Mathira talks about the peer pressure she has been enduring as a single mother in a man-dominated society.
On a recent TV show hosted by Madeha Naqvi, the mother-of-three shed light on the pressures and traumas society gave her as she navigated life as a single mom after her divorce in 2018.
The noted host said her three sons have been the greatest source of support.

She explains that while raising them, she had to take on both maternal and paternal roles, which she believes imbued her with qualities typically seen as masculine, as she had to handle responsibilities not typically associated with women.

She also revealed that after her third pregnancy, she experienced severe depression, but society largely ignored her struggles and dismissed them as insignificant.
Mathira began her career at 16, facing numerous challenges as she took on various jobs to make ends meet.
She entered the world of live television hosting, despite initially struggling with the language and facing harassment, especially during her late-night transmissions. Despite all odds, she has been active in her career.
