Fire breaks out at Children Hospital in Lahore

A fire broke out in the medicine store located on the third floor of the Lahore Children’s Hospital on Saturday morning destroying huge stocks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per Rescue 1122 officials, the fire broke out at 5:15am and they were trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

Rescue 1122’s seven fire hydrants took part in the operation to extinguish the fire. It took them seven hours to bring the blaze under control. Now, the cooling process was under way.

The huge blaze disrupted the hospital's functioning as the administration deferred 70 different operations in view of the fire incident.

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz took notice of the incident and sought a report from the secretary health.
