Pakistani rupee scores meagre gain against US dollar in interbank market

The Pakistani rupee recorded a meagre gain against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the information obtained from the forex traders, the local currency appreciated by 19 paisas and was currently being traded at Rs279.
On the last trading day on Friday, the Pakistani rupee had gained 17 paisas ending the week at Rs279.19.
In a key development, following the general elections last month, Shehbaz Sharif was elected on Sunday as the prime minister of the country for a second term by securing 201 votes.
