ECC approves increase in premium of OMCs

Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet Friday gave the go-ahead to increase in premium of oil marketing companies on import of high-speed diesel, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The ECC meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar approved of maximum premium of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to $15 per barrel. The meeting also gave its node to petroleum levy on high octane at Rs 50 per liter. 

ECC of the Cabinet has also granted its approval to a supplementary grant of 5 billion rupees for the census.
