14 nabbed over army copter crash propaganda

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has nabbed 14 people involved in army helicopter crash propaganda, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the FIA, more than 15 cases have been registered in connection with the anti-army campaign on social media.
The arrested are from Karachi, Lahore and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Of 14, 11 persons are from Lahore, two from Karachi and one from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A couple of months ago, a commander and another five personnel embraced martyrdom after an army chopper crashed during a flood relief op in Balochistan.
Following the incident, an anti-army campaign was launched on social media, inviting ire among the top civil and military leadership as well as the nation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said belittling and ridiculing the sacrifices of martyrs was horrifying. ISPR said the social media campaign after the tragic incident was regretful and had caused anguish among the families of martyrs.
