The train service that had stopped at Quetta railway station around 40 days ago after a railway bridge at Mach section was washed away by monsoon floods could not be restored as yet, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Sources told 24News that the situation had now prompted the authorities to mull operating the trains either from Mach or Sibbi until and unless the bridge was not repaired.

Sources disclosed that it could take three months to repair the bridge.

On the other hand, train service has been restored between Quetta and Chaman and Quetta and Taftan after repair of the tracks connecting these destinations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways has also increased fares for the passengers of all classes.
