ECP to write letter to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for inviting observers

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to write a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send invitations to the international election observers, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECP made the decision in a meeting under the Chief Election Commissioner on Tuesday. It also decided to gear up processing applications of foreign organizations for election observation.
The meeting planned to convene an inter-ministerial meeting on October 16 under the chairmanship of the Secretary Election Commission.
Senior officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and other institutions will participate in the meeting.
In the meeting, the future course of action will be decided with reference to international observers, says the Election Commission in a press statement.
The Election Commission has also approved the Code of Conduct for international observers and decides the election commission.
The Code of Conduct is authorized to be published immediately, according to the ECP declaration.
The Election Commission also reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming general elections, the statement said.
The Commission expressed satisfaction with the arrangements for the general elections.
The commission ordered that all matters related to the election should be completed according to the schedule.
