Pacer Naseem Shah undergoes successful shoulder surgery in London

Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah, who sustained an injury during an Asia Cup 2023 match against India in Sri Lanka, underwent successful surgery on a tendon in his right shoulder in London, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The surgery on Naseem Shah’s shoulder continued for half an hour, doctors said.
He has been advised to take proper rest for four to six weeks, they added.
The pacer will be able to start his practice after completing the rest period, they stated.

Due to his injury, the fast bowler became unable to represent Pakistan in the World Cup 2023.
“With a heavy heart, I’m sharing that I will not be part of this amazing team that will be representing our beloved country. While I’m disappointed, I believe everything is in Allah’s hands. InshahAllah will be on the field very soon,” he had said in a statement on X.
