Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has called for the records of land owned by various departments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Presiding over a meeting for reviewing the revenue targets of first quarter the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to prepare a plan for optimal use of government land.
The meeting also gave approval of expansion of Punjab Revenue Authority to various districts of the province.
The meeting decided to empower ADCD and Assistant Commissioners in Revenue Authority matters.
The Chief Minister also directed the planning to increase the financial resources of the province.
The chief minister also instructed to compile authentic data of restaurants, bakeries and marriage halls across the province.
Maryam Nawaz said that the collection of revenue will be increased without increasing taxes on the people.
Whatever is collected in the public treasury will be spent on the people, Maryam Nawaz said.
I want to do a lot for the people, but I don't have much financial resources, Maryam Nawaz said.
The Chief Minister instructed that revenue collection targets should be met in any case.
Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Minister Marrium Aurangzeb, Provincial Information and Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, MPA Sania Ashiq, Principal Secretary, Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, secretaries of Irrigation, Finance, Mines and Minerals, Excise Taxation and concerned authorities participated the meeting.
