Senator Faisal Vawda accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of orchestrating conflict between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, and the federal government. He urged the judiciary to take immediate notice, warning that the PTI leadership seeks to instigate violence for political advantage.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, in a blunt and highly charged press conference on Thursday in Islamabad, Vawda claimed that the PTI founder Imran Khan wants "bodies to fall" to achieve power, stating that the Red Zone protests are meant to provoke clashes.
"Ali Amin Gandapur is just a pawn," Vawda remarked, "but if they want to engage in thuggery, let’s see what happens." He further criticised Gandapur for suggesting that KP protesters would respond with violence if fired upon, questioning why bullets would be fired at KP people in the first place.
Former PTI leader Senator Faisal Vawda also accused the party of exploiting families and children by bringing them into dangerous protests in Red Zone, saying, "PTI is planning deaths within its ranks, preparing for bloodshed."
He emphasised that the PTI leadership is recklessly risking lives for political gain, adding, "If 300 people die, FIRs will be filed against you too."
Vawda harshly criticised the PTI founder for prioritising power over the nation's sovereignty, accusing him of "slavery to foreign interests" and suggesting he should bring his own sons into the dangerous political fray.
He further warned that any illegal actions taken by the PTI would have serious consequences, stating, "This is not the personal property of any party or leader—Pakistan’s sovereignty is untouchable."
In response to a question about political outcomes, Vawda said, "Don’t push me to a point where I have to show what’s [secrets] on my phone." He also dismissed the idea that leaving the party had harmed his political career or livelihood, stressing his independence and calling the current PTI leadership "expired chefs."
Talking about the economic situation in the country, Vawda said investments are coming and petrol is getting cheaper; if petrol is cheaper, then inflation will be reduced.
