The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the weather forecast for March, noting that March rainfall this year was 42 percent more than normal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the Meteorological Department, the wettest day in Punjab, however, was March 24 when 64.7 mm of rain fell in Kot Addo whereas Para Chinar (KP) experienced its wettest month ever in march with 142.0 mm of rainfall.

The country's daytime and nighttime temperatures of March 2023 for Pakistan as a whole was 20.49 degrees Celsius, being 1.63 degrees Celsius warmer than average of 18.86 degrees Celsius. 

Meanwhile daytime temperature at country level was recorded at 27.40 degree Celsius, being 1.57 degrees warmer than the country-average of 25.84 degree Celsius.

Nighttime minimum temperature was 13.56-degree Celsius, being 2.16 degrees Celsius warmer than he country average of 11.40 degree Celsius and ranked 6th warmest minimum ever in march since 1961. 

The hottest day, 40.5 degrees, was recorded in Mithi (Sindh) on March 6, and the coldest day and night were recorded in Kalam (KP) between March 1 and March 6. 

The warmest night, with a temperature of 24.5 degrees, was on March 17 at Karachi Airport.
