FJMU aims at promoting research among students: VC

Prof Dr. Khalid Saeed Khan has said research is an extremely important component of universities that enables students to apply new thought processes through study and testing, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Prof Dr. Khalid, former editor-in-chief of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, further stated the research helps the students to understand the concept of Systematic Review.
He was speaking as chief guest at a research workshop held here at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) on Wednesday.
FJMU Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal also interacted with the candidates and shared his wisdom.
Dr Shamsa Humayun, Dr. Aisha Malik, and Dr. Bilqis Shabir also exchanged their views with the students on the importance of research workshops.
Dr Gondal said that research is a powerful aspect of the educational experience at Fatima Jinnah Medical University that aims at promoting a research culture among its students and faculty. The activity was concluded with the distribution of certificates among all the participants.
Meanwhile, the Green Youth Movement of FJMU, in collaboration with the forest department initiated an annual tree plantation drive at the university. Dr. Khalid Masood graced the ceremony accompanied by Principal Dr Noreen Akmal, Dr. Faiza Abrar, Dr Munnaza Iqbal, Dr Muneeza Qayyum, Dr Bilqees Shabbir, and Prof Dr Shamsa Hamayun, and other faculty members.
