FJMU inaugurates capacity-building program for university management

The Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) Lahore hosted the inaugural ceremony of the capacity-building program for the university management in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Vice Chancellor of FJMU Prof. Dr Khalid Masood Gondal graced the occasion as the Patron-in-Chief.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal welcomed the distinguished guest Dr. Noor Amna Malik on her arrival at FJMU. He said that learning is a lifelong process that begins at the time of birth and continues until death. Such training programs are worthwhile to build-up the performance of the institutions. Furthermore, he added that we are grateful to the Chairman, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, and Dr. Noor Amna Malik for including FJMU in training programs.

Dr. Noor Amna Malik shared her wisdom and thoughts. She said that it is a matter of pride and honour to attend the opening ceremony of this training session. Addressing the participants, she added that whatever you learn from this training session, convey it to your dear friends and take advantage of every moment of your life. She also lauded the visionary leadership of Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal and his unparalleled contribution in medical education. She congratulated FJMU and its faculty for the global representation of Fatima Jinnah Medical University in UK under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal.

The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) conducts capacity-building programs for the faculty and staff of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan. These programs broadly focus on three key areas, namely the Faculty Development Programme, Research and Research Management, Academic Management, and Leadership & Financial Management.

The Principal Prof. Abdul Hameed, Dean Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Prof. Aliya Zahid, Dr. Taskeen Zahra, Focal Person Dr. Uzma Iqbal, faculty members, and a large number of participants were present on the occasion.

Prof. Ashfaq Ahmad from Punjab University participated as Chief Facilitator.

On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, also presented an honorary shield to Dr. Noor Amna Malik.
