SCBA declines to attend Supreme Court full court reference

The Supreme Court Bar Association on Friday declined to attend the full court reference convened in honour of retiring Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Justice Sajjad is attaining his superannuation on August 13 and the Supreme Court is going to arrange a farewell party and a dinner in honour of the retiring judge on August 11. 

But the SCBA has declined to attend the function nor could it arrange a dinner in his honour as the SCBA representatives will be out of the country from Aug 8 to Aug 17. But the bar members will host a dinner in honour of ex-judge Mazhar Alam and Justice Sajjad after their return from abroad.
