A bride sustained injuries as a man claimed to be his lover fired shots at her in Rawalpindi, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The incident occurred in a marriage hall at Committee Chowk.

The accused was on the run after committing the crime when a police patrol nabbed him.

The injured has been shifted to a hospital and the accused landed in lockup. 

According to police, investigation is underway.
