The Pakistan Mini Mazda Association (PMMA) has announced a protest rally and sit-in against the traffic rules on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the protest rally will be taken out from Hamdard Chowk to Shaukat Khanum Hospital Chowk.
The association has also announced that they will close the national highway and motorways at the Thokar Niaz Baig if their demands will not be fulfilled.
PMMA President Haji Sher Ali and Secretary Tanvir Jatt held a press conference along with other office bearers here in Lahore on Thursday and announced staging a sit-in and protest rally on Friday.
Haji Sher Ali said that the traffic police have banned the use of motorways and cattle vehicles on the motorway which damaged the business of the mini Mazda owners.
He also criticized the traffic rules and challans related to parking of the mini Mazda trucks at different trade market areas like Shah Alam Market.
The PMMA president demanded the government establish four stands for mini Mazda trucks in the city of Lahore and restore the canceled 7,500 vehicles immediately.
PMMA Secretary Tanvir Jatt said that he had met the CTO many times but the issues were not resolved.
The PMMA president and secretary warned that if the demands are not met by Friday night, then they will start a wheel jam strike across the province of Punjab from Saturday.
