A local court in Karachi on Tuesday accepted the C Class challan in the Nimra Kazmi kidnapping case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On April 20, 16-year-old Nimra Kazmi went missing from S-1 Malir Saudabad, Karachi. Later, on April 25, the girl was recovered from Lahore. She said she had got married to a boy Najib Shahrukh of Dera Ghazi Khan. According to her marriage certificate, she was 18-year-old.

Nimra’s parents had filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC), stating that the marriage of their daughter was unlawful as she was not old enough to marry under the law.

However, Nimra appeared before a court and recorded her statement that she was not kidnapped and contracted Nikah with Shahrukh with her own free will.

Nimra also filed a petition against her parents claiming they were harassing her in the Additional Sessions Judge through her Attorney Qazi Sanaullah.
