Homage to Kargil war hero Captain Karnal Sher Khan

The Armed Forces of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs have paid tribute to the Kargil war hero, Captain Karnal Sher Khan, on the 25th anniversary of his supreme sacrifice.
According to an ISPR press release, they said Captain Karna’stellar leadership and courage have always been beckoning them to defend Pakistan at all cost
His martyrdom serves as a poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifices made by the armed forces to safeguard the motherland, it said, adding that the Kargil War hero wrote history with his blood displaying utmost valour, commitment and unwavering allegiance to defend the country against all odds.
Born on January 1, 1970, Captain Karnal Sher Khan was one of the 10 recipients of the country’s highest military award, Nishan-e-Haider. After completing his intermediate, he first joined the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as an Airman but later joined the Army as a commissioned officer in 1992. He was commissioned in the 27th Sind Regiment on October 14, 1994.
During the Kargil conflict on the Line of Control in 1999, he emerged as the symbol of courage. He embraced martyrdom on July 5, 1999, while defending the motherland gallantly.
