Amid the withholding tax, the row Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has announced a strike from Friday (July 5), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Around 400 filling stations may remain closed in the provincial capital Lahore.
PPDA Chairman Abdul Sami Khan claimed that the strike could last more than a day and negotiations will not resume until the government slashed the double taxation policy.
He urged the petroleum dealers to express unity in their ranks.
However, there are reports that a number of filling stations will remain open despite the strike call.
The filling stations of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), police welfare petrol pumps and filling stations being managed by Pakistan Rangers will also remain open.
Likewise number of private companies have assured the government that stations will keep remain open.
