Lahore Qalandars' all-rounder, Sikandar Raza taking all responsibility of team's underwhelming performance has claimed that the team lost matches because of him, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media at the Islamabad Club Cricket Ground, he expressing remorse for his own performance emphasized the necessity for Lahore Qalandars to secure victories in the remaining matches of the tournament.

He stressed the unpredictable nature of cricket, underscoring the importance of adaptability in the face of challenging circumstances.

Raza lamented missed opportunities, stating, "Couldn't finish a few matches because of me."

However, he remained resolute, asserting, "There is no lack of confidence," citing Lahore Qalandars' previous championship victories as a testament to their potential for success.

Commenting on team dynamics, Raza praised Shaheen Afridi for his commendable leadership throughout the PSL season, acknowledging the positive atmosphere fostered in the dressing room.

Responding to queries about captaincy decisions, Raza emphasized unity within the team, stating, "Whatever the captain decided, we stand by it."   “The performance has to be given by the batsmen or bowlers.”

Looking ahead, Raza emphasized the team's commitment to intensify efforts, aiming for a third championship title. "To become a three-time champion will have to work harder."

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators players held a practice session at Islamabad Club Cricket Ground.
